Water Fountain Wish Success
We are proud to announce that we have raised $7,000 to purchase and install new drinking fountains throughout the school. In addition to the funds donated by PILLARS, this money will go a long way towards making our wish for new drinking fountains come true. Our goal is for our children to have new fountains on the first day of school
The overwhelming support we received for the Water Fountain Wish demonstrates the strength of our community of family and friends, and underscores the commitment they have shown for St. Matthias through this period of growth and change.
A special thanks to all the families who so generously contributed to this effort and to the GlobalFest Silent Auction Committee whose hard work resulted in so much support. We could not have done it without you. This is truly a gift that will benefit our students for many years to come!
Girls on the Run
Congratulations to the St. Matthias Girls on the Run team for braving the heat and completing their 5K run on Saturday, June 9th, at Soldier Field.
Girls on the Run is an after-school program aimed at inspiring girls to be healthy and confident, using fun, self-esteem building lessons, which integrate running.
St. Matthias Youth Group to Meet
July 7-5 TO 9 PM - Keehan Garden
St. Matthias Youth Group will have a summer garden meeting and party. If you are between the ages of 14 and 18 please consider attending this casual get-together to meet like-minded young people to have fun, tell stories, and consider ways you can share your gifts and make a difference in the world.
The St. Matthias Youth group is a faith- based club that is centered on service, friendship, community, and FUN!
