Welcome Back, Students and Teachers
Schedule for First Week of School
In order to ensure a smooth adaptation period for students into the preschool curriculum, the teachers have designed an orientation week.
Preschool
Wednesday, August 22 – Parent Orientation
There are no preschool classes during the day. There will be a Parent Orientation meeting in the evening from 7pm until 8:30pm in your child’s classroom. This will be an opportunity for parents to spend time with their child’s teacher and to learn about the structures and routines in the preschool classroom. This informative introduction to the school year is intended for parents only, not students. Even if you have had children in our preschool program in previous years, you are still asked to attend. Every year is a different experience.
Thursday, August 23 – Student Orientation (A-M)
Parents and students are invited to the preschool classrooms for a half-day introduction to the structure and routines of our classes. This is a time for children to get acquainted with their new teacher and to become familiar with a new setting. This orientation will begin at 8am and end at 10am. Thursday will be only students with last names A through M.
Friday, August 24 – Student Orientation (N-Z)
Parents and students are invited to the preschool classrooms for a half-day introduction to the structure and routines of our classes. This is a time for children to get acquainted with their new teacher and to become familiar with a new setting. This orientation will begin at 8am and end at 10am. Thursday will be only students with last names N through Z.
Monday, August 27 – First Full Day of Preschool
This will be the first day of preschool and will follow the regular school calendar. Classes will begin at 7:50am and end at 11:40am (half-day students) or 2:50pm (full-day students).
Kindergarten Wednesday , August 22, 8am – 10am KG
students will come with parents for drop-in orientation. Students received letters indicating if they are part of the 8-9am or 9-10am session.
1st-8th Grades Wednesday, August 22nd
First Day of School with early dismissal at 10:00am.
